Rosemarie Perla
President of the Perla Group
Rosemarie Perla, President of the Perla Group - Coaching and Consulting firm,
is sought by a "who's who" of business owners, executives, professionals and major league athletes to achieve significant life and career transformations. A licensed psychologist, executive coach and organizational consultant by training Rosemarie brings her 30 years of experience, a knowledge base in behavioral science and human performance, coupled with a passion to assist leaders in transforming their work and their lives.
As evidence of her skill, Rosemarie has been praised in the pages of Sports Illustrated for her ability to advise high-powered leaders and gain their trust to inspire belief and hope in everyone's capacity to change and grow. Her work has also been featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review highlighting her ability to attain results in challenging circumstances.
She has successfully coached and consulted business leaders and their teams to be their best by leading and contributing to the world in a positive manner. The outcome of Rosemarie's consulting is that clients become transformed – from anxiety ridden managers to poised decision makers; from supervisors or organizers of "to-do" lists to strategic leaders; and from order-givers to human resource cultivators. Her great gifts include keen intuition and perception with the ability to "read" clients and ascertain their authenticity. These gifts enable Rosemarie to build a high degree of trust quickly with her clients. She listens intently to a client's agendas and goals, so that the client can discover the obstructions that prevent progress, and then hold clients accountable for what they say they want out of their lives and careers.
In addition to executive coaching, Rosemarie leads corporate retreats and training for institutional clients ranging from healthcare facilities, engineering, architectural and law firms. These sessions focus on subjects such as leadership and inspiration, creative life design and planning, strategic skills development as well as adjusting attitudes to result in productive work behavior. She also assists individual professionals in energy maintenance and wellness, conducting stimulating workshops in leadership training, stress management and communication skills.
Rosemarie gained her experience through years of work as a private-practice and consulting psychologist, and as a clinician and administrator with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her professional writings have been widely published, and she has given numerous public presentations and workshops, in addition to countless private sessions for clients.
Throughout her career Rosemarie has shown creative initiative and the ability to see past obstacle. An example is her facilitation of the development of the Domestic Violence Initiative, an alliance between UPMC Magee Hospital, Western Psychiatric Institute and the Women's Center and Shelter. Her commitment to organizational evolution through best practices and fiscal management is reflected in the oversight she demonstrated as a health administrator responsible for redesigning services during deep budget cuts at the onset of managed care.
Rosemarie is a member of the International Coach Federation, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Consulting Psychologists. She holds two Master's degrees in behavioral sciences and adult development and soon will receive her professional coaching certificate awarded by the International Coach Federation. She is also a member of the coaching staff of Breakthrough Enterprises, Inc. (DaveEllisLeadership.com) whose purpose is to dramatically and permanently improve the lives of millions of leaders by developing success strategies for living and working. Breakthrough sponsors leadership workshops throughout the year in Sonoma, California.
Perla Group associates use quantitative methods centered in research that identify specific behaviors which contribute to leadership and team success. Rosemarie and her team of coaches assist leaders through the gaps in their management style to create new, effectual behaviors and new avenues of direction.
